A university professor in STEM fields for 30+ years, Apple started her literary journey in 2017, initially wanting to write for her children to understand their heritage. Her writing goal has broadened to enrich Asian American cultural heritage and history and to enhance cultural understanding and acceptance among all people. Apple's books include memoirs and historical novels based on true events in China. She co-edits an anthology series with Georgia A. Popoff. Apple also designed and published an all-in-one dotted journal notebook that affords her a busy, productive, and mindful life.
