Daughters Day
Celebrate daughters and honor mothers
On this National Daughters Day and anticipating the upcoming International Daughters Day, I celebrate my two daughters, who have brought joy, pride, and meaning to my life. I couldn’t help but also want to honor my mother and all loving mothers—without mothers, there would be no daughters.
The holiday theme is fitting for the newly published historical novel, Daughter of Blue City.
A Long Book Description and Early Reviews
In a separate section of the main newsletters AABB, “Daughter,” there are several posts about the new book. This one provides more details, its connection to my first historical fiction, Mother of Red Mountains, and some early reviews. You can read the full story by clicking the link below.
Main Characters
Daughter of Blue City is based on true events and real people. Under the “Daughter” tab inside AABB, you can find more photos and captions about the real people the main characters are based on. In the captions, I used the characters’ names in the book to protect these people’s privacy.
My gifted nephew, Tony, created this poster with a limited number of photos for book events and PR purposes.
Mark Your Calendar for the Book Launch Event
Parthenon Books in downtown Syracuse will host the book launch for Daughter of Blue City on Saturday, Oct. 11, 6-7:30 PM. Mary Jumbelic, M.D., author and educator, will moderate the event with an interview and Q&A.
Parthenon Books hosted the launch of Mother of Red Mountains with a great turnout on a rainy and chilly May evening. I am grateful for its support again.
Editor’s Choice Award of Literary Excellence
I am honored to be presented with this award by Reader’s House Magazine in London. This is my first award for being an author. It encourages me to do more and better.

How exciting, Apple. :) Congratulations to you!
